Most of my Brunette clients like being brown, they hate orange and red tones and just want to look natural. Never have I heard a client say can you put some orange highlights in my hair Jack!. Yet all around me I can see that orange brown glow of badly coloured hair, in all fairness its hard to keep the brassy tones away in the sunshine and colour does oxidize but even so its our job as colourists to work hard at keeping the brass away.
As I sit here looking back on the last six months, I really have to pinch myself as I reflect on what has happened so far, its been such a wonderful time for me.
The year started with the launch of my Balayage class for Loreal UK & Ireland which has consistantly sold well averaging 15 -20 people a seesion. The class gets great feedback and we have had some very talented people attend, all looking to help launch the Balayage revolution here in the UK & Ireland. It also saw me going to Dublin for the 2 of 3 visits so far for Loreal Ireland and the amazing Dylan Bradshaw salon. Quite wondeful because i’m half Irish so it was like going home, everybody so friendly and helpful, just a Joy.
July 1st 2013 was the British Fellowship of Hairdressers members night, where members can showcase their work in a 4 minuite segment. Well being a colourist I teamed up with the very talented KY Wilson to style for me, as we all know without a great blow dry colour doesn’t look good.
This month sees the release of the Tattler good hair guide, and i was so thrilled to see two of my teamates included that I didn’t even see me mentioned.
